Registration for the 2019 event in LIVERPOOL, 11 May, is open now

The National Oceanography Centre is opening its doors to mark 100 years since the founding of the Liverpool Tidal Institute, a key development in the history of the NOC, the City of Liverpool and the study of our oceans.

We are holding a public open afternoon giving you a rare opportunity to take a close look at some of the current research and technology that helps us make sense of changing seas, from coast to deep ocean, across the globe.

Come along to meet the people behind the science and find out more through displays and activities. You’ll also be able to see two historic tidal prediction machines as part of our ‘Tide and Time’ Exhibition.

The event is free to attend, however, you must register for one of the time slots available.

Register on Eventbrite.

Places are limited, please arrive promptly at your allocated timeslot. We anticipate guests will spend up to 45 minutes on site. We look forward to welcoming you to the NOC.
