National Oceanography Centre strategic business partner, Marlan Maritime Technologies, has secured the top prize in the ‘Innovation’ category at the prestigious Mersey Maritime Awards 2018, held earlier this month.
Science and industry will now be able to map beaches and sandbanks without getting any feet wet. This follows three years of collaborative research resulting in a new commercial licence between National Oceanography Centre (NOC) and Marlan Maritime Technologies to sell new coastal mapping technology.
The National Oceanography Centre (NOC) has entered into a two year Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with Marlan Maritime Technologies Ltd to develop innovative remote sensing services for the survey of intertidal zones.
