The Nippon Foundation-GEBCO Seabed 2030 Project, an international effort to chart the world’s entire ocean floor, has announced an increase in ocean data equating to the size of Europe.

NOC contributes to pilot UN State of the Ocean Report

During last week’s UN Ocean Conference, the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (IOC-UNESCO) launched a pilot “State of the Ocean Report”.

Today, the British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC) celebrates its 50th anniversary with an international meeting looking at the “Past, present and future: successes and challenges in managing marine data”.
