Ministerial visit to Liverpool

Kevin Horsburgh, Ed Hill, Angela Hibbert and Amanda Solloway outside the NOC in Liverpool

Yesterday we welcomed Amanda Solloway, Minster for Science, Research and Innovation, to our Liverpool office, which is home to advanced engineering labs, world-class ocean modelling, and the British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC).

Presenting information on a transformational approach to supporting large scale ocean research infrastructure, for the benefit of UK and the international community, were the NOC’s Prof. Ed Hill (Chief Executive), Dr Angela Hibbert (Senior Scientist) and Prof. Kevin Horsburgh (Chief Scientist for International Development).

Amanda Solloway said on Twitter, "Earlier I visited NOC in Liverpool to see how their research in oceanography makes the UK an ocean science pioneer."
