Please note that environmental science is a multi-disciplinary research area needing both specialists in environmental science disciplines but also specialists in other areas (e.g. Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics), who bring their deeper understanding of individual specialisms to environmental science. You do not need a background in an environmental science subject; every year we welcome many new PhD students who do not have such a background.
