I’m a physical oceanographer using observations to study Southern Ocean circulation and dynamics. I’m interested in understanding how processes from mesoscale eddies to small-scale mixing operate in the Antarctic Circumpolar Current as well as over the Antarctic continental slopes and shelves, and the role they play in interactions among the ocean, atmosphere and ice, and the Southern Ocean's part in the global climate system.
