Autosub operations were from MV Terschelling in the Irish Sea off the N. Wales coast with a total AUV mission track of 751 km.

For this campaign Autosub 3, the sister vehicle to Autosub 2, was fitted with a turbulence probe on its nose, which was angled up by 0.7˚ with reference to the inertial navigation system so that it was near horizontal when in flight.
