The iFADO (Innovation in the Frame work of the Atlantic Deep Ocean) project aims to assist offshore Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) implementation. It will combine traditional monitoring with cost-effective, state-of-the-art technologies: remote sensing, numerical modelling and emerging observation platforms such as gliders and oceanic buoys.
