Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)

The Government of the British Virgin Islands (BVI) and the National Oceanography Centre (NOC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) formalising a commitment for greater engagement, cooperation and advancement in marine projects.

The National Oceanography Centre (NOC) and the Vietnam Institute of Geosciences and Mineral Resources (VIGMR) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on 26 September, which will develop joint training and technical programmes for knowledge transfer and research collaboration around areas of marine science affecting local and global communities.

Last week, the NOC’s Associate Director for Innovation and Enterprise, Kevin Forshaw attended the opening of the new Ocean Sciences Campus at the Nelson Mandela University (NMU) – South Africa’s first and only campus dedicated to marine research and technology.

The National Oceanography Centre and the Royal Navy have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enable cooperation on a variety of activities relating to marine autonomous systems with a particular focus on gliders.

Dr Peter Heffernan CEO of the Galway based Marine Institute, and Prof Ian Wright, Deputy Director, Science and Technology, National Oceanography Centre (UK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), on 24 April.
