Robot explorers and the mysteries of the Mersey

Scientists and engineers from the National Oceanography Centre in Liverpool and the University of Liverpool will be giving visitors to the International Mersey River Festival the chance to get close to the Mersey’s aquatic residents and learn all about the study of our estuary’s and oceans. There’s much more to the Mersey than meets the eye and with the help of an underwater robot and a microscopic lens, visitors can see exactly what lies beneath the surface. There will be hands on science activities to inspire the next generation of oceanographers and a life sized robotic submarine for young engineers to get their hands on.

This event is part of the International Mersey River Festival 24 to 25 June, and will be at Albert Dock.
