I have been working as Marine Carbonate Chemist on Lab-on-Chip chemical sensor development (chemical assay development, sensor calibration/validation) with the Ocean Technology and Engineering group at NOC-Southampton (NOCS, UK) since 2018.
From 1998 to 2017, I worked as Marine Chemist with the Stable Carbon Isotope and the Biogeochemistry groups in Ocean Sciences at Bangor University (UK) in deep sea, sea ice, and Blue Carbon ecosystem studies, which culminated in laboratory studies of the dissolved CO2 system at sub-zero temperatures (solubility and kinetics of the hydrated calcium carbonate polymorph ikaite, equilibrium dissociation constants of dissolved CO2).
