Job title: Senior Research Engineer
Group: Ocean Technology and Engineering
Team: Multidisciplinary
Site: Southampton
Email: Anthony.Lucio at noc.ac.uk
I am a Senior Research Engineer at the National Oceanography Centre where I develop sensors for the ocean carbonate system. I am also leading the development of electrochemical sensors to study biogeochemical processes.
I am an Honorary Research Fellow in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Warwick and I am interested in the development of electrochemical sensors for free chlorine detection at sub-ppm concentration levels relevant to the water industry, in addition to electrochemical sensors for studying ocean biogeochemistry.
Skilled in electroanalytical chemistry techniques, metal deposition, batteries, sensors, free chlorine, boron doped diamond, voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, ionic liquids, double layer phenomena, spectroelectrochemistry, and CO2 electro-reduction. Strong research/teaching professional with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry from the University of Iowa (USA).
