DUE TO ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS, TONIGHT'S TALK WILL BE POSTPONED

WE WILL RESCHEDULE LUCY WOODHALL'S TALK 'Marine litter and microplastics: the facts behind the news' LATER IN THE YEAR

Marine litter and microplastics: the facts behind the news

Marine litter and microplastics are ubiquitous across our planet. This is a complex and multifaceted challenge, but one that can be addressed. The talk will present the reality of litter items large and small being released into the environment by taking trip across the oceans and depths and exploring the world below the surface. Is it like they show on the TV? Does it matter? What can we do about it? Is the plastic bag tax working? These are some of the questions that will be answered.
