This talk is to celebrate over a decade of dedication by Ken Collins and Jenny Mallinson who have hosted 125 talks for the public, organising a talk for the first Thursday of the month, every month, since June 2000.
Previous talks will be re-visited and the future direction of the series will be discussed with a sneak peak of up and coming topics.
Rachel Boschen is a marine biology undergraduate at University of Southampton with a passion for the marine environment. Previously in the series, Rachel has spoken about teaching diving in the Caribbean and the rehabilitation of seals and turtles.
As of January, Rachel will be taking over the marine life talk series from Ken Collins and Jenny Mallinson.

The Marine Life Talks are held on the first Thursday of the month at 7.30pm, please arrive at 7.15pm to be met in Reception.
Arrangements for wheelchairs must be made in advance. Unless it is possible to descend via the stairs in an emergency, access to upper floors cannot be permitted as lifts are automatically immobilised when the fire alarm is activated.
The National Oceanography Centre is reached via Dock Gate 4 (between Southampton’s Town Quay and Ocean Village).
