I studied civil engineering at the National Technical University of Athens (Greece) and I hold an MSc with distinction in Maritime Engineering from the University of Liverpool (UK). I carried out my PhD jointly at the University of Liverpool (School of Environmental Sciences) and the National Oceanography Centre (Liverpool, UK). I have hold roles both in academia (University of Stirling, UK) and as a consultant (IMDC, Belgium). I am currently a research scientist at the National Oceanography Centre and a member of the Marine Physics and Ocean Climate Group. I am a coastal modeller with expertise in modelling hydrodynamics, morphology and water quality. My research interests include topics like coastal dynamics and processes, flooding, nature-based solutions, estuarine physics, salt intrusion and climate change impact.
