I am a research scientist in the Marine Systems Modelling group, National Oceanography Centre, Southampton, with 20 years’ experience running ocean and coupled climate models on a range of platforms, analysing model output and making comparisons with observations. I have extensive experience working on collaborative projects involving several institutes.
Key research interests:
- Understanding the climate system
- Improving understanding of errors and uncertainty in ocean and coupled climate modelling
- High-resolution and nested ocean model configurations
- Ocean and Climate modelling
- Research into ocean teleconnections and fast wave propagation
- JMMP model development
- Co-Lead of the NEMO AGRIF Working Group
- Chair of the NOC Scientific Computing Advisory Group
- Member of the NOC Environment Sub Committee
