Keith Davidson (Associate Director, Scottish Association of Marine Science) is a senior scientist on the Food Standards Agency regulatory biotoxin producing phytoplankton monitoring program for Scottish waters and the principle investigator on multiple ongoing related research projects including projects on minimising the risk of harm to aquaculture and human health from HABs formation, providing water quality analysis for shellfish farms, studying HABs monitoring techniques, and understanding nutrient dynamics. He has attracted externally funded grants to the value of over £26M and is a member of numerous international bodies and advisory panels directly related to harmful algae and their effects.
