My research interests span applied statistics, numerical simulation of weather and climate and earth observation. In particular I am interested in the representation of extremes in observations and simulation of the climate, including ocean wave height, precipitation and tropical cyclones. I have also used applied statistical methods based on Gaussian processes to examine large ensembles of simulation output in the context of extremes. I currently work on the analysis of observations of sea state (wave height) from remote sensing.
Please contact me if you are interested in doing a Ph.D. in this research area.
