Dr Russell Wynn, Chief Scientist of the Marine Autonomous and Robotic Systems (MARS) at the National Oceanography Centre, will be speaking on the MASSMO project at tonight’s meeting from 17:30 to 19:30 in South Kennington.
A NERC funded ‘Hackathon’ will take place at the Digital Catapult Centre in London between 27 and 28 February. This event is being organised by the British Oceanographic Data Centre (BODC) and the Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (CEH), and will provide an exciting opportunity to hack environmental data and create value from Linked Open Data sets.
24–27 February 2015 – Recent capital investment, as part of the UK Government ‘Eight Great Technologies’ initiative, means that the NERC MARS facility now comprises the largest and most diverse research fleet of marine autonomous systems in Europe.
