Biography

Improved model representation of coastal ocean mixing: Observation motived improvement of numerical simulation of shallow seas mixing. Including optical processes and turbulent processes.

Shelf edge exchange: Processes and timescales responsible for cross shelf exchange.

Wave induced influences on the ocean mixed layer: Using numerical simulations to investigate processes that influence the Ekman layer mean flow, the interactions between internal waves and surface waves and understanding the effects on upper ocean turbulence and ocean mixing.
