About the National Oceanographic Library
Information about how the Library supports research at the National Oceanography Centre
The National Oceanographic Library is a national resource for the UK marine science community. The National Oceanographic Library supports staff and students at the NOC from the Natural Environment Research Council (NERC), Ocean and Earth Science at the University of Southampton and the University of Southampton as a whole.
- The library collects, organises and provides access to scientific literature to support teaching and research.
- The library provides guidance and training on specialist information resources.
- The library records the research output of the scientists at NOC.
- The library manages the production of printed NOC cruise and research reports.
