Senior Research Scientist with the RAPID project. Making sustained observations of the Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) at 26.5 N in the North Atlantic. Of particular interest to me is the role of the AMOC in weather and climate. I am also interested in the South Atlantic—in particular, its salinity and its role in the stability of the AMOC.?

I am an experienced sea-goer—a highlight being leading the final scientific cruise on the old RRS Discovery. My work is primarily funded from NERC and the European Commission. My network of collaborators stretches from the US to the Canary Islands and across Northern Europe. ?
