Chris Cardwell is Head of the Electronics and Software team in the Ocean Technology and Engineering Group.

His main research interest is the development of autonomous nutrient and electro-chemical in-situ sensors with the goal of increasing the sensitivity and frequency of data acquisition in a marine environment. He focuses on the design, improvement and integration of high precision, pressure tolerant electronic systems in these sensors, working closely with the science and mechanical teams.
