Research Interests/Specialism:

I am interested in sea level and bottom pressure variability on various timescales, from high frequency tidal to long-term climate-induced changes. A key area of my research is the study of interactions between modes of variability in the atmosphere and in the ocean, particularly in polar regions. I also have an interest in improving methods of tidal prediction to facilitate coastal forecasting.
