Consultations

The International and Strategic Partnerships Office enables and facilitates interactions across the marine science community, stakeholders and policy makers. Examples include providing answers to Parliamentary Questions, providing input to enquiries and reviews, and, when appropriate, seeking coordinated responses when the marine science community is asked for answers or opinions on relevant issues.

We work mainly with our Oceans 2025 partner institutes, Government Departments such as DEFRA, BIS and DECC and key Non-Government Organisations, Learned Societies and Professional Bodies such as IMarEST, SUT and the Challenger Society for Marine Science. We work with devolved administrations in Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales, and with our colleagues in Europe as the Marine Strategy Framework Directive develops. ISPO also acts on behalf of NERC for some consultations, for example the Severn Renewable Energy proposals.

The consultations listed below are open for comment, please send any input to Steve Hall (ext 26435 room 256/34).

For copies of our input to closed consultations please see the Closed Consultations page
