ARISE (Can we detect change in Arctic Ecosystems?)
ARISE is a 4 year project (2017-2020) funded by NERCs Changing Arctic Ocean Research Programme (https://www.changing-arctic-ocean.ac.uk). The aim of the project is to detect and to attribute drivers to changes in Arctic food webs that have been driven by rapid environmental trends (sea ice loss, warming, freshening) on a pan-Arctic scale. The outcomes will inform future management and conservation efforts.

PEANUTS (Primary productivity driven by increasing vertical nutrient fluxes?)
Funded by NERCs Changing Arctic Ocean Research Programme, PEANUTS (2018-2021) will quantify the contribution that changes in the vertical flux of nutrients has made to observed increases in primary production in the Arctic over recent decades.

CAMPUS (Combining Autonomous observations and Models for Predicting and Understanding shelf Seas)
CAMPUS is a three year project (2018–2021), funded by the Natural Environment Research Council, combining state-of-the-art computer modelling with innovative observational systems utilising the latest technologies. The project aims to:
- Deliver an improved evidence-base for ecosystem based marine management,
- Identify a cost-effective optimised observing network

OSNAP (Overturning in the Sub-polar North Atlantic Programme)
OSNAP is an international program designed to provide a continuous record of the full-water column, trans-basin fluxes of heat, mass and freshwater in the subpolar North Atlantic.

CANDYFLOSS (CArbon/Nutrient DYnamics and FLuxes Over Shelf Systems)
A NERC funded consortium within the Shelf Sea Biogeochemistry Programme. CANDYFLOSS aims to:
(1) estimate the size of the shelf carbon pump over the whole NW European shelf, and its relationship to the global carbon cycle, and
(2) determine the relative importance of external nutrient sources and internal biogeochemical cycling in maintaining the pump

FASTNeT (Fluxes Across Sloping Topogrpahy of the North East Atlantic)
A NERC funded consortium aiming to construct a new paradigm of Ocean/Shelf exchange using novel observations and model techniques to resolve the key seasonal, interannual and regional variation absent from existing knowledge
